Christ Lutheran Church has been a steadfast place for worship and community for almost 100 years. We are blessed to have a very loyal and hard-working church community that continues to provide ministry programs for families and individuals.
What are the top 3 most important things to us?
We’re glad you asked:
- Jesus as the Sole Savior: As Missouri Synod Lutherans, Jesus Christ is central to our faith. We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, and through His death and resurrection, believers are granted eternal life. This focus on Christ’s redeeming work is foundational to our theology. The doctrine of justification by faith alone is key, meaning that salvation comes purely through faith in Jesus.
- Faith-Rooted in Scripture Missouri Synod Lutherans uphold the belief in Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), which means that the Bible is the sole and final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe that the Scriptures are divinely inspired and without error, guiding both personal faith and the teachings of the church. This is why LCMS adheres to a literal interpretation of the Bible, especially on key doctrinal issues.
- Community Through the Church In LCMS communities, the church is seen as a vital expression of faith and fellowship. Worship, which includes regular participation in the sacraments (such as Baptism and Holy Communion), is considered essential for spiritual growth. The church community serves as a place for teaching, mutual encouragement, and living out one’s faith in day-to-day life. LCMS congregations emphasize family and community values, often providing educational programs like our school (LINK TO CLS) to help nurture faith from a young age.
We encourage you to learn more about our incredible community. Thank you for visiting!
