Religion

The Bible curriculum for grades K–5 at Christ Lutheran is centered on God’s Word and the teachings of the Lutheran Church. Through daily instruction, students grow in their knowledge of the Bible, their relationship with Jesus Christ, and their understanding of God’s love and grace.

Memory

Memory verses reinforce Bible lessons, focusing on meaningful passages from both the Old and New Testaments. 

Math

Christ Lutheran has a comprehensive, research-based developmental math curriculum for grades K–5 that builds strong foundations through hands-on exploration, visual models, and meaningful problem-solving. The program supports all learners by developing number sense, mathematical reasoning, and confidence through a clear learning progression, differentiated instruction, and real-world connections. Designed to grow with students, it ensures mastery of core concepts while fostering curiosity and a lifelong understanding of mathematics.

English Language Arts

Christ Lutheran has a comprehensive English Language Arts curriculum for grades K–5 that builds strong readers, writers, and communicators through explicit instruction and rich language experiences. The program integrates phonics, spelling, and vocabulary with high-quality literature to develop foundational skills, deepen comprehension, and foster a love of reading. With a clear learning progression and engaging texts, students build confidence, fluency, and critical thinking skills across all areas of literacy.

History and Social Studies

Christ Lutheran has a thoughtfully designed history and social studies curriculum for elementary students that explores people, cultures, and communities through a Christian worldview. Students learn about history, geography, civics, and economics while developing critical thinking skills and an understanding of God’s purpose and providence throughout history. Age-appropriate lessons encourage curiosity, character development, and respect for others, helping students connect past and present while growing in faith and understanding.

Science

  • Christ Lutheran has a dynamic, developmental science curriculum for grades K–5 that builds curiosity and understanding through hands-on investigation and discovery. Students explore life, physical, and earth sciences using age-appropriate experiments, observation, and inquiry-based learning. With an emphasis on questioning, problem-solving, and real-world connections, the program develops foundational scientific thinking skills while fostering a lifelong love of science.

Physical Education

Elementary students enjoy two gym sessions weekly to learn foundational sports skills and sensory exercises.

Technology

Elementary students learn keyboard and mouse skills in fun developmental ways. Our curriculum has a strong focus on cyber security. Older students learn to take tests, write reports and submit assignments electronically.

Music

Our music curriculum in elementary school introduces students to the joy of music by engaging in hands-on experiences with instruments, voice, and rhythm. Through musical games and activities, students develop basic skills in music theory and musicianship. 

During the Christmas season, our students are featured in an advent program.

Field trips connect with classroom topics, plus a fun end-of-year trip to celebrate the year’s learning.
