Founded in July 1925, Christ Lutheran Church has been a cornerstone of the San Pedro and Rancho Palos Verdes communities for almost 100 years. Our story began in February 1932, when the congregation laid the cornerstone for the first church building at 16th and Cabrillo Streets in San Pedro—a symbol of hope, faith, and unity.
As our congregation flourished, Christ Lutheran expanded to a new location on Western Avenue in 1954, where we opened a vibrant two-room school the following year. By 1960, we proudly dedicated a beautiful new sanctuary and a state-of-the-art gymnasium/fellowship hall, marking a significant milestone in our growth.
Today, both our church and school have evolved into thriving centers of worship, education, and fellowship, deeply rooted in our mission to serve and uplift our community.
